LifeGuard Email Sending Rules
Last updated: 2026-04-19
This page explains how LifeGuard uses email. We only send transactional messages related to account security, reminders, and emergency-contact alerts. We do not use email for bulk marketing or cold outreach.
Public contact information
1. What We Send
Account Security
Verification and account confirmation
Sent only when users actively request registration/login verification or email confirmation.
Account Recovery
Password reset messages
Sent only when the user initiates password reset; no promotional content.
Self Reminder
Pre-timeout gentle reminders
Sent only to the account owner before emergency-contact escalation happens.
Emergency Alert
Emergency-contact alert emails
Sent only when user-defined timeout rules are met.
2. Recipient Sources
- Security emails go only to the account email submitted by the user.
- Emergency alerts go only to contacts actively added by the user.
- We do not use purchased/rented/scraped third-party mailing lists.
- We do not send newsletters, promotions, or third-party advertising emails.
3. Safeguards and Rate Limits
- Verification and reset flows are protected with cooldown and frequency limits.
- Anti-abuse controls apply by mailbox, source IP, and global thresholds.
- Emergency alerts are event-triggered by configured timeout rules.
4. Stop Receiving and Complaints
- For bounces, complaints, or opt-out requests, we stop non-essential delivery to that address.
- Emergency contacts can request stop by emailing lis19920710@gmail.com.
- Users can remove or disable emergency contacts in the app.
5. What We Explicitly Do Not Do
- No purchased-list mass marketing.
- No cold outreach, investment promotion, or affiliate broadcast emails.
- No generic bulk-email service for external usage.
